La "Mise au Tombeau"

Cette "Mise au Tombeau" fut commandée par l'abbesse Antoinette de Moustiers (1493-1515). Cette oeuvre fut réalisée par l'atelier de Michel Colombe, vers la fin de la vie du sculpteur. Only the figure of Christ would have been carried out by the famous artist tourangeau. For the remainder of work, work would be G Regnault, disciple of Michel Colombe. Let us note that the face of the Virgin could be the portrait of Antoinette de Moustiers, or Madeleine of Orleans, under the abbatiat of which this whole was finished.

The Tombstone of the Bell ringers

It is at the bottom of the bottom with dimensions northern of the parish church that one sees this tomb stone, probably carried out in XIIIème century. One distinguishes the marguilliers, also called "Dog-God", sounding the bells of the tower of the abbey .
The drawing of this stone would be the first known representation of the Romance Tower. Let us note the form characteristic of the roof, with four sides, being pressed on surmounted buttresses of pinnacles with hooks.

Les Reliquaires

A medieval inventory counted in Jouarre nearly a hundred holy relics, of which a fragment of True the Cross. So some of these relics disappeared today, it remains in the parish church some reliquaries, which were at the origin with the abbey. It is with the Revolution that those were transferred in the church Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul. These relics are still with the c?ur of the religious life jotrancian. Thus, at each Whit Monday, a pilgrimage brings together the parishioners in the gardens of the abbey, where these relics are honoured, which they are of Saint-Potentien, Saints-Apôtres, or of Saintes-Abbesses.
